6月2日 It's been awhileGeez, I cannot believe it's been this long since I posted any photos - sorry. Anyway, here are a few since the birth of Giana. 9月30日 Summer and Sofia's birthdayFinally getting around to updating our site. This summer, we had visits from Sacha, Grandma and Grandpa Loewenkamp and the Idzoreks. Lots of fun, but not a lot of pictures - guess we were too busy having fun to take too many pics. So, here's what we've got. Sofia celebrated her 4th birthday with a party at the City Park Railway in Fort Collins - lots of fun and sugary cake. Anika started second grade, and has since become a Brownie, which she is really liking so far. Not much else going on around here - still skating, riding bikes, reading, playing with bugs, doing the kids' running events, etc.
Feel free to visit!
Jo 7月27日 Spring into SummerAnother four months have passed - sheesh, where is the time going? Here is a hodge-podge of photos, including Anika learning to inline skate, Sofia riding the tag-along bike, a new pergola on our deck, Sofia got a new bed & dresser, 4th of July in Breckenridge and some other stuff - enjoy. And, we mustn't forget the brief, yet very fun visit from Sacha (aka Sha-Sha), which included fabulous treats for the girls (purses with perfume and lip gloss) - and an evening of grilling and mojitos!
Getting ready for visits from the Idzoreks and Grandma & Grandpa Loewenkamp, Sofia's 4th birthday and Anika start of 2nd grade in less than a month. Seems like summer just started and we're already planning for the end.
Come visit when you can - we'd love to see you!
3月25日 Start of 2008Well, it's been awhile since I've blogged or added photos to the site. Since the last upload, Anika has turned SEVEN, Sofia is also learning to skate, we've gone to Indiana for a rainy visit and had Easter back at home. Sofia and I visited Anika's class with cookies for her birthday, and the weather was so nice, we enjoyed them outside. Then, we had a party at Rollerland with some of her friends - for some it was their first time on skates, but fun was had by all. On our roadtrip to Indiana, we stopped in Kansas City for some tasty barbeque, St. Louis to go up the arch, and a quick stop at the White Castle in Evansville. We got to see Horton Hears a Who (since it was pretty darn rainy), Meh shared her recipe and baked her famous bread pudding (I don't think it lasted even 24 hours - yummy), took an excursion to the lake house in Kentucky, and had lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
Take care! 12月3日 Halloween & ThanksgivingHere are some pictures from Halloween and Thanksgiving. Grandma and Grandpa Loewenkamp visited in November, but unfortunately, we didn't have the camera going enough- hoping to get some pictures from them. While they were here, we met up with Great Uncle Stan and Aunt Patty, where Patty gave Anika and Sofia her childhood dolls and furniture that were made for her - WOW! The girls could hardly wait to get home. We then took a road trip to AZ for Thanksgiving week. Everybody was there for the feast. While in AZ, Anika got to ride in a convertible with the top down (that doesn't happen in CO this time of year) with Great Uncle Rick. As you'll see, she was pretty excited about it. I think Sofia wanted to, but she got a little timid about it, so didn't get to - maybe next time. Lots of fun, good food, and clear roads for the road trip. STill waiting on pics from the other cameras that were going in AZ, so will update with more pictures later - check back.
10月30日 Move and more funWell, we've moved and have been buries with projects and unloading boxes and rearranging and trying to keep up with all the normal stuff. The latest news is that Anika can now ride her bike without training wheels. There is even another first grader (different teacher, but same school) on our cul-de-sac, so the fun pretty much hasn't stopped since we moved in. Anika is either over there, or they're over here, or they're riding their bikes right outside - it's great. They even play with Sofia, who loves hanging out with the big girls.
As you may have known, Colorado had quite an exciting baseball season. Unfortunately, I think we all have whiplash from jumping onto the band wagon and then quickly being swept in the World Series. MAybe next time, eh? Goodness knows, the Broncos aren't giving us much to cheer about. But, how 'bout those Sun Devils - ranked #4!
Cheers - hope to see you all soon.
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween - I'll post more pics soon - I hope.
8月24日 Seriously, where did summer go? I just cannot believe summer break is over - Anika has started first grade. She seems to be loving it and really looks forward to getting there in the mornings and doing her reading in the evening.
In July, we met up with Ben, Lisa, Deanna, Alissa, Gina, Sarah, Grandma and Grandpa 'D' in Colorado Springs for a visit to the North Pole, after going to the Renaissance Festival in Parker, CO and spending some time with Uncle Stan and Aunt Patty in Colo Spgs. The North Pole was FUN - perfect for the kids' ages, and no lines! After that, Ben and family came up to Fort Collins to stay with us for the week. We had a lot of fun - went to the City Park Pool, cooked, ate, painted pottery, went up Poudre Canyon to Mishawaka for lunch on the river, scoped out our new house, and played lots! We also met up with Uncle Luke, Jami, Allison, Bennett and Kate for all you can eat pizza - Colorado style - thick crust with honey for drizzling.
And, lastly, Sofia celebrated her 3rd birthday and Anika had her first day of first grade on August 21st.
We're gearing up to move into our new house the weekend of September 14th, so will post more after we get up and running at the new place.
